A new application has appeared in the App Store. A.I.Disk, is a new and much needed iPhone application that lets MobileMe subscribers access documents on the iDisk online storage service, and save them to their iPhone and iPod Touch. A.I. Disk allows people to view saved files and documents on the go and even email friends and colleagues.

Ανοίγετε οποιοδήποτε browser σε οποιοδήποτε pc η mac, βάζετε μια διεύθυνση που σας παρέχει το πρόγραμμα και αυτό ήταν. Είστε πλέον συνδεδεμένοι μέσω wi-fi και μπορείτε να μοιραστείτε αρχεία και προς τις δυο κατευθύνσεις.

 

Το πρόγραμμα παρέχει κάποιο reader για όλους τους βασικούς τύπους αρχείων και επίσης συνεργάζεται με Mobileme.

 

Πέρασα καμια τρακοσαριά pdf αρχεία για να το δοκιμάσω και η όλη διαδικασία ήταν πολύ εύκολη και γρηγορη. Ως pdf reader όμως δεν είναι και τίποτα σπουδαίο - υπάρχουν καλύτερες λύσεις εκεί.

Για να είμαι ειλικρινής ποτέ δεν συμπάθησα ιδιαίτερα τα RSS feeds :p

 

Το γεγονός ότι ήμουν υποχρεωμένος να διαβάζω ένα σωρό πράγματα που δεν με ενδιέφεραν, ψάχνοντας να βρω αυτά που με ενδιαφέρουν, σε συνδυασμό με το ότι έπρεπε κάθε φορά να κοιτάξω ο ίδιος για καινούρια feeds μήπως και βρω κάτι αξιόλογο είναι οι δύο σημαντικότεροι παράγοντες που με αποθάρρυναν από την χρήση RSS Readers.

 

Ωστόσο, πρόσφατα ανακάλυψα το RSSPush και αναθεώρησα την άποψη μου για την συγκεκριμένη μέθοδο... παράδοσης ειδήσεων :)

 

Το RSSPush παρέχει τη δυνατότητα "διαλογής" των ειδήσεων που φτάνουν τελικά στη συσκευή. Η διαλογή γίνεται με βάση λέξεις κλειδιά, ως ακολούθως: Αφού ο χρήστης δώσει κάποια λέξη κλειδί, συνδυάζει τη λέξη αυτή με rss feeds από sites που τον ενδιαφέρουν. Ακολούθως, οι επιλογές του καταχωρούνται στους servers της εφαρμογής και όταν προκύψει κάποια είδηση στην οποία αναφέρεται η λέξη κλειδί, η εφαρμογή τον ενημερώνει μέσω push notifications. Η ανάγνωση των feeds γίνεται μέσα από την εφαρμογή ενώ υπάρχει και ενσωματωμένος browser ο οποίος επιτρέπει την ανάγνωση της είδησης όπως αυτή δημοσιεύεται στη σχετική ιστοσελίδα.

Στα μείον της, η σχετικά μεγάλη καθυστέρηση που παρατηρείται ως προς την έγκριση custom feeds που υποβάλλονται από τους χρήστες, για να συμπεριληφθούν στους servers.

Μεταξύ άλλων, το goodreader επιτρέπει να κατεβάσει κανεις attachments κατευθείαν από την εφαρμογή Mail χωρίς να χρειάζεται να έχει κανεις υποστήριξη Exchange η mobileme η κάτι αντίστοιχο τέλος πάντων. Ακόμα και ο οδηγός χρήσης που ενσωματώνει είναι εξαιρετικός!

ενδιαφέρομαι για μία εφαρμογή στην οποία να αποθηκεύω κάποια γεγονότα. Κάτι σαν ημερολόγιο ζωής αλλά δεν με καλύπτει το κλασσικό ημερολόγιο του Iphone. Θα ήθελα π.χ. να δημιουργώ φακέλους (π.χ. εργασία, προσωπικά κλπ) στους οποίους θα μπορώ να γράφω κείμενο και ενδεχομένως να μπορώ να επισυνάπτω κάποια φωτογραφία ή κάποια ηχογράφηση ή κάποιο αρχείο pdf. Επίσης θα ήθελα να μπορώ να στέλνω όλα τα περιεχόμενα είτε σε mail είτε να συγχρονίζει με PC. Κάτι σαν το Onenote της Microsoft Office για όποιον το γνωρίζει ή και το evernote που αναφέρθηκε από κάποιο συνφορουμίστα πιο πριν (που δοκιμάζω αυτόν τον καιρό αλλά δεν έχω σαφή εικόνα ακόμη)..

Παιδιά, sorry, αλλά μετά από πολύωρη αναζήτηση και χιλιάδες ποστ που διάβασα, δεν κατάφερα να βγάλω άκρη. Συγχωρέστε μου και το γεγονός ότι την συσκευή την παραλαμβάνω σε λίγες μέρες - οπότε δεν έχω ιδέα για τις λειτουργίες της - και αν έχετε την καλωσύνη, απαντήστε μου σας παρακαλώ:

 

Το iphone κάνει εγγραφή των κλήσεων; Κι αν ναι, γράφει με περιορισμούς και αυτό το απίστευτα ενοχλητικό "μπιπ" που κάνουν οι περισσότερες συσκευές στην αγορά; Αν όχι, υπάρχουν εφαρμογές που να καταγράφουν τις συνομιλίες;
