Το A-Star Concept θα παρουσιαστεί ενώπιον του κοινού για πρώτη φορά στην έκθεση αυτοκινήτου του Νέου Δελχί, στις αρχές του Ιανουαρίου. Στη συνέχεια βέβαια θα κάνει την εμφάνιση του και στις εκθέσεις επί ευρωπαϊκού εδάφους. Η Suzuki επέλεξε την Ινδία για την παγκόσμια πρώτη του A-Star Concept, πολύ απλά γιατί το μοντέλο παραγωγής θα κατασκευαστεί στο εργοστάσιο της θυγατρικής της, Maruti Suzuki, που έχει έδρα εκεί. Τα πρώτα αυτοκίνητα αναμένεται να βγούν από τη γραμμή παραγωγής μέσα στο 2008. Preparation is well under way by their German competitors with the Audi A7, Volkswagen Passat Coupe, Porsche Panamera and now we bring you an artists interpretation of the BMW four door coupe which will probably be badged as the 8 series. The All New BMW 8 series styling will be based on the CS concept with the platform to come from the 7 series or even possibly the 6 series. The original 8 series was produced between 1989 and 1999 and was powered by a V8 and a V12 engine. We expect this trend to continue with the new model set to use the 438hp 6.0-liter V-12 engine from the 760i and 4.8-liter V8 from the 750i. Ford will not confirm any of the RS’s technical specification, but the company has said the car is based on the Focus ST. It’s likely to have over 300bhp from a twin-turbocharged version of the ST’s five-cylinder engine, and will have a dump valve as standard. This will be achieved with a revised engine management system, increased boost pressure, free-flow air filter and performance exhaust. Η πάσης φύσεως ομορφιά είναι κάτι το καθαρά υποκειμενικό. Εξ'αιτίας αυτόυ λοιπόν θεωρώ φυσικό σε κάποιους να αρέσει και σε άλλους - όπως εγώ- να μην αρέσει.:) Πάντως σαν αυτοκίνητο είναι σίγουρα πολύ καλό. Πρόκειται έναν ολοκαίνουριο V8 κινητήρα 4,4 λίτρων, άμεσου ψεκασμού, με διπλό τούρμπο, ο οποίος αποδίδει 400 ίππους και 62,2 Kgm ροπής. Αυτός θα εξοπλίσει την έκδοση xDrive 50i. Με τη σειρά της, η μικρότερη έκδοση xDrive35i θα έρχεται με εξακύλινδρο σε σειρά κινητήρα, επίσης διπλού τούρμπο, ο οποίος αποδίδει 300 ίππους και 41,4 Kgm ροπής. Στο βασικό εξοπλισμό της X6 συναντάμε για πρώτη φορά και το DPC (Dynamic Performance Control). It is speculated that VW will introduce new variants of the popular hatchback starting with a coupe-like fastback four-door model (pictured above). Also expected to make market debut in 2010 is a mini-MPV Polo-van based on the successful Skoda Roomster platform. And additionally, a traditional booted version will be available as three and five-door version for markets in Asia, Russia and surprise, surprise...the US. The Polo will naturally offer a large choice of fuel and diesel engines and Blue Motion technology. No word yet regarding a hybrid version. The new Polo V will stand against stiff competition such as the new Opel Corsa, upcoming Ford Fiesta due in 2008 and its own sibling rivalry with the new Seat Ibiza set to launch in summer 2008. This new Ibiza marks the first model under the guidance of Seat’s new designer, Luc Donkerwolke, formerly from Lamborghini and Skoda since 1998. Based on spy photos, two artists renderings are showing the Polo V and one photo from our files of the new VW Polo Fastback five-door.
