Αμερικανιά, αμερικανιά... Δεν ξέρω αν βασίζεται στην 250 GTO, αλλά προσωπικά μου θυμίζει αμερικανιά. Καμία σχέση με την ιταλική φινέτσα των υπολοίπων μοντέλων της Ferrari...

Όσο για το αν βασίζεται στην 250 είναι ολοφάνερο από τη φώτο που έχω στο link.

Δε λέω ότι δεν βασίζεται, λέω ότι μπορεί να βασίζεται και σε άλλα μοντέλα...

 

Enzo Ferrari και FXX είναι σχεδόν το ίδιο μοντέλο και έχουν σίγουρα φινέτσα (καθώς θυμίζουν μονοθεσίο της Formula 1). Το ίδιο και οι Ferrari F40 και F50...

In 2008 BMW will launch its much discussed all-new four-door all-wheel-drive Coupe currently dubbed, X6. The X6 is said to offer the mechanics

and four-wheel-drive system from BMWʼs X5 SUV while its body styling is of a more elegant coupe design.

 

Just a few days ago we revealed shots of the X6's sloping rear end which was caught during extreme hot weather testing in Death Valley, which consequently, disabled the vehicle. Following up on this same encounter, these latest photos show the same X6 prototype being trailed off to the

engineers garage for repair. But more importantly we can see here the first shot of the front interior and dashboard.

 

The prototype appears to have less ground clearance than the X5 and is slightly longer. As seen in the previous story linked above, the boxy rear end disguise is hiding a sloping roof line. The X6 will have sportier handling and greater driving dynamics than the X5 while the latter can seat up to seven passengers, the X6 is going to be a strict four seater.

 

BMW is expected to use the most powerful engines from the X3 and X5 series including the new 3.0 liter diesel bi-turbo delivering 286 HP and the 367 HP

4.8 liter V8 petrol engine. Some time later a turbo V8 engine delivering 420 HP will provide the X6 with even more performance, thus another serious rival

against Porsche will be on the road from next year forward.

Ferrari has started the development of the all important mid-engined F430 model successor. First test mules are based on the, yet to be released,

F430 Challenge Stradale and have now started to rack up test kilometres on the Fiorano test track as well as the winding mountain roads around

the Maranello headquarters.

 

According to the spy photographer, he managed to get shots of the fully finalized model! Unfortunately, it is hidden under a red cover spotted from

a long distance and he was not able to get a shot with it off. Nevertheless, this image gives evidence that the work is much more advanced than

previously thought, and the eagerly awaited new model could debut before the end of 2008.

 

For some time, it was speculated that Ferrari would opt for a V10 engine in order to match the Lamborghini Gallardo. However, since Formula 1 regulations

went back to using V8's, Ferrari decided to stay with the proven configuration for the F430 successor. Some of our sources from within the Ferrari factory

have hinted to a supposed 5.4 litres of displacement. However, from an engineering point of view, a more moderate, figure-inverted, 4.5 litres seems much

more likely. More interestingly, as a result of the increased engine displacement, Ferrari, through their extensive experience in Formula 1 and track-based

Ferrari FXX are planning to raise the maximum rev limit from 9,500 to 10,000 rpm with output in excess of 370 kW / 500 hp.

 

From these spy photos we can see this prototype has camouflaged lateral air scoops in the side of the front bumper fascia (in front of the front wheels)

which alludes to an improved braking system which requires increased cooling capabilities. Also, we can see enlarged and flared lateral air intakes in front

of the rear wheels which suggests increased cooling needs of a larger engine. Lastly, a revised and partly camouflaged flow efficient rear skirt and exhaust

setup all derived from the Challenge Stradale can be seen.

 

A radical new styling scheme, the new option of all-wheel drive, reduced body weight and improved handling from innovative adaptive suspension damping

will all mark important aspects in bringing Ferrari well ahead in the competition with the Lamborghini Gallardo and Audi R8/RS8. And in this respect, the new

Ferrari cannot be released too soon, although the current F430 is still a fantastic car and virtually sold out.

Δεν πρόκειται ποτέ να φτιάξω μια μικρή Ferrari, τύπου Dino. Δεν ξέρω από που βγήκε αυτή η ιστορία. Τι είναι ''μικρή''; Λιγότερη τεχνολογία, λιγότερες καινοτομίες - όχι, όχι, όχι. Όποιος θέλει μια φθηνή Ferrari, μπορεί να πάρει μια μεταχειρισμένη.

 

Αυτά είπε ο Luca di Montezemolo σε μία συνέντευξη που υπάρχει στο περιοδικό Top Gear.

οι dino παντως που εβγαιναν παλαιοτερα δε στερουνταν τιποτα σε τεχνολογια κτλ...απλα ειχαν μικροτερα μοτερ.λογικα σε αυτη τη φαση μια μικροτερη ferrari δε θα ειχε λογο υπαρξης λογο maserati..

The Ferrari 430 Scuderia. Michael Schumacher will officially unveil the car at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

 

The new Ferrari 430 Scuderia will join the road-going V8 line-up alongside the F430 coupé and the F430 Spider. The 430 Scuderia is a truly high-performance 2-seater berlinetta which demonstrates how Ferrari’s Formula 1 know-how is carried across to its production cars.

 

The new model is a special series based on the F430 and is aimed specifically at Ferrari’s most passionate and sports-driving oriented clients. Development focused on light weight, minimum trimmings and innovative technology. All this to exalt the car’s extremely high-performance and ability to thrill the driver.

 

The new car can count on an extremely low weight-to-power ratio of just 2.45 kg per hp thanks to a low dry weight of just 1250 kg - 100 kg less than the standard F430 – and to the naturally-aspirated 4308cc V8’s 510 hp at 8500 rpm.

 

Superb performance both on and off the track is assured by a series of cutting-edge solutions. There is the latest F1 software - Superfast – which reduces gearchange times to just 60 milliseconds, and new traction control which, for the first time, combines the E-Diff electronic differential and the F1-Trac traction and stability control in a single integrated system.

 

Vehicle dynamics, control and performance thus represent the zenith of Ferrari’s achievements in terms of developing road-certified sports cars.

 

The 430 Scuderia will be officially unveiled by Michael Schumacher on September 11 2007 at the IAA Motor Show in Frankfurt.

With the decision made to develop an all new generation Phaeton, Volkswagen is also expanding the Phaeton line-up.

A convertible with folding hard-top will go on the market and compete directly against the Mercedes SL-Class.

 

Looks like history repeating itself as VW takes another stab at the premium market (i.e. Phaeton I vs. S-Class).

The Phaeton received rave reviews for its build quality, technology and value. It was/is a superb car. However,

it seemed the Phaeton failed to connect with consumers, especially in the US where the VW brand image was

less than perfect. It was a difficult sales pitch selling an upmarket vehicle for the first time in a brand which

was plagued with quality issues and a difficult dealer network. Hopefully, VW has learned from their mistakes.

 

Rumors about the next generation Phaeton are going in two different directions. Some sources say a shared platform

with Porsche's Panamera will be utilized, while others say it will be based on the new Audi platform that will be used

for the new A6 and A8.

 

The Phaeton hasn’t been the big success that VW expected, but with the next generation and its expansion by adding

a Phaeton Coupe Convertible as well as a rumored 4-door Coupe (i.e. Mercedes CLS) to the model range, the car maker

is hoping for more success. With the Mercedes SL-Class selling very well, VW is aiming to tap into this market and

persuade some of those buyers to make the Phaeton line-up finally profitable.

 

The pictures are revealing a very first test mule for the new CC model based on a shorter and wider Audi A8 body. When

the testers noticed the photographer, they went into high alert. Then the prototype disappeared immediately inside a truck,

and the engineers did their best to stop the photographer from taking anymore pictures.

So this is the only set of photos existing at this time.
