The UltraSn0w unlock will be released on Friday and will be applied in the same manner as the previous yellowsn0w unlock. The procedure will work on the 4.26.08 baseband version so all those who accidentally updated to the latest baseband will be able to regain their unlock. Σύμφωνα με το Apple2All, το οποίο κατάφερε να αποκτήσει πρόσβαση σε ένα iPhone 3Gs, η Apple άλλαξε το iBoot version (iPhone boot loader) από iBoot-240.4 σε iBoot-359.3 γεγονός που ενδεχομένως να σημαίνει μεγάλη καθυστέρηση στα σχέδια της devTeam για Jailbreak της συσκευής! Αυτό που διάβασα δεν μου άρεσε καθόλου στο iPhone hellas. Despite the fact that it seems to be common knowledge that the iPhone 3GS uses the latest PowerVR SGX graphics processors, the specifics have remained a bit of a mystery. In an in-depth "under the hood" analysis, Anandtech guessed that Apple uses the low end 520 model in the iPhone 3GS. The PowerVR SGX chips, however, have a range of models which each carry a different set of performance characteristics. SGX520 (7 MPolys/s, 250Mpx/s) for the handheld mobile market SGX530/1 (14 MPolys/s) for the handheld mobile market SGX535 and SGX540 (28 MPolys/s) for handheld high end mobile, portable, MID, UMPC, consumer, and automotive devices SGX540 (1000M pix/s, 20-35M Polys/s), SGX545, SGX555 The Palm Pre, for example, uses the SGX 530 designed for the handheld mobile market. iPhone developers, however, have discovered that the iPhone 3GS has extension files named "IMGSGX535GLDriver" suggesting that the new iPhone uses the more powerful graphics processor intended for "high end" mobile devices. This may not be entirely conclusive evidence by itself but it is consistent with a report from a Anandtech commenter who claims to have heard directly from Apple engineers at WWDC that the iPhone 3GS does indeed use the SGX 535. At the time, the database showed solid availability of the new iPhone, with nearly 90% of stores showing availability of all four iPhone 3GS models and only five stores being completely sold out. Apple's retail store stock levels declined over the course of the weekend, and the availability database is now showing significant iPhone 3GS shortages. According to the database, only about 40-45% of Apple's retail stores currently maintain stock of all four models, while nearly 15% of stores are completely sold out. July 2, 2009 Κάτι η διάθεση του firmware 3.0 για το iPhone,κάτι η κυκλοφορία του iPhone 3GS δεν ήθελαν και πολύ οι servers (διακομιστές) της Apple και "έπεσαν",με αποτέλεσμα οι χρήστες του iPhone 3GS να μην μπορούν να ενεργοποιήσουν τη συσκευή τους για μεγάλο χρονικό διάστημα.Βλέποντας το συμβάν αυτό,η Apple έκανε δώρο 30$ σε κάθε χρήστη iPhone 3GS για αγορές μέσω του App Store. July 2, 2009 αυτό δεν ισχύει για όλους,αλλά ΜΟΝΟ για τους χρήστες στις ΗΠΑ,που αγόρασαν με συμβόλαιο τη συσκευή και λόγω συμφόρησης δεν μπόρεσε να γίνει η ενεργοποίηση απο την εταιρία κινητής τηλεφωνίας εντός 48ωρών όπως προβλέπει η apple :) Παράθεση Εγώ πάντως -άω/ώ, και ας λέτε εσείς ό,τι θέλετε!!! July 3, 2009 Όπως μεταδίδει το appleinsider, η apple προσπαθεί να διορθώσει ένα exploit στην υπηρεσία του sms το οποίο θα μπορούσε να επιτρέψει σε κάποιον κακόβουλο χρήστη να αποκτήσει δικαιώματα admin απομακρυσμένα στο κινητό και να εγκαταστήσει κακόβουλο λογισμικό. Μένει να δούμε εάν το συγκεκριμένο exploit θα καλυφθεί από την αναμενόμενη 3.1 έκδοση του firmware.
