Notify Me And Who Called Are Designed To Complete More Calls With New Information And Handling Options For Subscribers

 

Comverse, a unit of Comverse Technology Inc., and the world's leading supplier of software and systems enabling network-based multimedia enhanced communication services, today announced that Vodafone Greece, a subsidiary of Vodafone Group Plc, has deployed two Comverse ImPact services: Notify Me and Who Called.

 

The two new services are designed to generate greater value from existing network traffic and current network equipment by steering more calls to a satisfactory conclusion and creating more follow-up calls:

• Notify Me notifies callers by SMS when a party that could not be reached earlier becomes reachable, facilitating easy and efficient completion of such calls.
  
• Who Called tells users by SMS who called (but did not leave a voicemail message) while the phone was unreachable.
  

Executives of Vodafone Greece selected Comverse ImPact services because they provide an improved user experience, while generating an attractive return on investment. Also, innovative caller-oriented services such as Notify Me, provided Vodafone Greece with an additional competitive advantage.

αυτό είναι παλιό............. θυμάμαι το πρόβλημα ήταν πως για να λειτουργήσει η ειδοποίηση κλήσεων έπρεπε να χρεώθει ο άλλος (να βγει τηλεφωνητής και όχι να το κλείσει στο η κλήση σας προωθείται.)

Τώρα δουλεύει κανονικά;

German mobile handset maker Siemens has built a network of WLANs (wireless local area networks) for Greek mobile provider, Vodafone-Panafon, allowing the mobile operator to offer WLAN roaming across five countries and centralised, cashless billing.

 

Vodafone customers in Greece, France, Italy, Switzerland and Portugal are now able to connect to the internet at all hot-spots in the network system and pay via their regular telephone bill. Network users from other providers can use vouchers to use the WLAN services at the Vodafone hot-spots.

 

Working in collaboration with WLAN software vendor Garderos and networking company Cisco Systems, Siemens integrated the WLAN solution into the infrastructure of the Greek mobile network. Cisco delivered its IP-based Service Selection Gateway (SSG), while Garderos software was integrated into the Siemens Wireless Integration Platform. The WLAN solution from the three partners was based on the WISP-R (Wireless Internet Service Provider Roaming) standard.

A month ago Vodafone launched the cheapest mobile telephony service yet for fixed line calls for customers under 26. It was a resounding success and Vodafone is now following it up with a new subscription form - Vodafone Start -- which offers Vodafone's consumer customers the chance to make fixed line calls for only SEK 0.10/minute evenings and weekends. This is the first mobile telephony subscription with a per-minute price for fixed line calls that is even lower than some fixed network subscriptions.

 

Vodafone Start is a new subscription form designed for customers who make calls mainly during the evenings and weekends. The monthly fee is low - only SEK 49 - and customers can at these times make calls to the fixed network and to other Vodafone customers for only SEK 0.10 per minute. This can be compared with Telia's fixed network subscription Telia Bas where fixed line calls cost SEK 0.115/minute evenings and weekends.

 

"There is great demand among our customers to cut their telephone cords and wave goodbye to fixed telephony costs. With Vodafone Start we can meet this demand and offer customers who use their telephones mainly during the evenings and weekends an attractive mobile alternative. Vodafone Start not only means fixed network calls at prices equal to those offered by fixed subscriptions at these times, customers can enjoy all the advantages of mobile telephony in the form of freedom, reachability, efficiency and entertainment value," says Paul Moonga, Director of Consumer Market at Vodafone Sweden. :)

Αρχικά θα έλεγα ότι καλό θα ήταν να γράφουμε με ελληνικούς χαρακτήρες γιατί προσωπικά (και φαντάζομαι και πολλοί άλλοι) κουράζομαι πολύ προσπαθώντας να διαβάσω τα φραγκοχιώτικα (greeklish)... ;)

 

To άρθρο λέει περιλιπτικά ότι:

Ακολουθώντας την επιτυχία του προγράμματος που είχε λανσάρει πριν από ένα μήνα η Vodafone Σουηδίας και που απευθύνονταν σε νέους κάτω των 26 ετών με πολύ φθηνή χρέωση για κλήσεις προς σταθερά, η εν λόγω εταιρεία λανσάρει ένα νέο πρόγραμμα για τους συνδρομητές της που ονομάζεται Vodafone Start.

Το πρόγραμμα αυτό προσφέρει χρεώσεις για κλήσεις προς σταθερά που είναι φθηνότερες από τις χρεώσεις μερικών εταιρειών σταθερής!

Υπάρχει μηνιαίω πάγιο 49 κορώνες και όλες οι κλήσεις που γίνονται απογεύματα και Σαββατοκύριακα προς σταθερά τηλέφωνα Σουηδίας και άλλους χρήστες της Vodafone SE χρεώνονται με 0,10 κορώνες το λεπτό.

 

Ακολουθούν δηλώσεις του Paul Moonga διευθυντή Καταναλωτικής Αγοράς της εν λόγω εταιρείας που εκθιάζει το νέο πρόγραμμα το οποίο απευθύνεται στους χρήστες που επιζητούν να κόψουν κάθε επαφή με τα καλώδια του σταθερού τους τηλεφώνου...
