Να μπουν σε μια σειρά τα Windows Mobile 5 πρώτα. να βγουν και τα διάφορα "service packs" τύπου Crossbow κλπ. και μετά βλέπουμε. Και φυσικά όπως έγραφα και παλιότερα τότε θα μιλάμε για σύγκλιση των Pocket PCs και των Smartphones σε επίπεδο πλατφόρμας (και όχι interface). Το photon έχει πολύ μικρή σχέση με αυτά που ξέρουμε (τουλάχιστον ως προς το UI). Έχουμε καιρό μπροστά μας για τέτοιες συσκευές. Προς το παρόν θα βολευτούμε και για το 2007 με crossbow και τις βελτιώσεις που θα βοηθήσουν στην καθημερινή χρήση. Johner, το yamazaki (τα επόμενα CE) μπορεί να βγει και πιο πριν από τα photon (σε άλλες μορφές συσκευών ή και σε απλές συσκευές με Windows CE) αλλά σίγουρα τα Photon δεν προκειται να βγουν χωρίς να έχουν "από κάτω" το yamazaki. Άλλωστε σε site που εσύ ο ίδιος έδωσες το γράφει και αυτό: I don't know when CE 6 will make it to the core of Windows Mobile. Pocket PC 2000 had CE 2.x under the hood, Pocket PC 2002 had CE 3.x, both Windows Mobile 2003 and 2003SE had 4.x and Windows Mobile 5 has CE 5. Δυο πράγματα πάντως πρόσεξα περισσότερο. Το πρώτο είναι άσχετο με τα ppc αλλά με ενδιαφέρει. επιτέλους στα smartphones προστέθηκε το mobile office(word, excel, powerpoint). Εδώ θα βρείτε μερικά screenshots. και το δεύτερο η λειτουργία "windows update". Το είχαμε ακούσει παλαιότερα, αλλά τι ακριβώς σημαίνει για μας? σημαίνει οτι ms πέρνει το λειτουργικό στα χέρια της, και δεν είμαστε εξαρτημένοι πλεον από τα rom updates των κατασκευαστών? οι κατασκευαστές τι ρόλο θα παίζουν τώρα? atsouch τα φώτα σου... Όχι δεν είναι ουσιαστικές βελτιώσεις καθώς ότι έχει σχέση με το mailing έχει να κάνει με τον Exchange 2007 και τα υπόλοιπα είναι καθαρά αισθητικά. Τζάμπα update.
