Και αυτό που μου έκανε εντύπωση είναι ότι ένας δύο από τα στελέχη φορούσαν τα ίδια ρούχα στην παρουσίασή του και στο βίντεο. Και έτσι ερωτώ: Το βίντεο γυρίστηκε λίγο πριν/μετά την παρουσίαση, ή απλά η καρνταρόμπα των είναι περιορισμένη; :wacko:

Ποιος ξερει?Υποθετω οτι οσοι φορανε μαυρα το για να πετυχουν εντονη αντιθεση με το λευκο background(?)

στην αμερικη διαδιδεται οτι το ipad μεσα σε ενα μηνα θα εχει 50-100$ μειωση στην τιμη.πηγε ο ξαδερφος μου και ρωτησε εναν ελληνα φιλοτου που δουλευει στην apple για να τοπαρει και του ειπε να περιμενει.δεν εχω λογω αν μην το πιστεψω αλλα δεν καταλαβαινω που το στηριζει.εκτος αν περιμενουν οχι τοσο εντονη ζητηση οπως στο iphone αλλα και λογω κρισης ....ιδωμεν

Αυτό υπάρχει περίπτωση να συμβεί όταν σε ένα μήνα από την πρώτη κυκλοφορία θα βγει το 3G μοντέλο που αν δοθεί με υποχρέωση σύνδεσης σε data plan για κάποιο διάστημα, θα έχει τη σχετική έκπτωση στην τιμή αγοράς.

3 Reasons Apple’s iPad Won’t See a Price Drop

We’ve been here before

Much of this “wait for the price drop” sentiment stems from the original iPhone 4 GB and 8GB models, which debuted in late June of 2007 for $499 and $599, respectively. By September of that same year, the 4 GB model was scrapped and the 8 GB unit dropped $200 to $399. The situation generated an early adapter uproar by many — myself included — and Apple tried to make good with $100 Apple Store credits for those who paid the higher prices.

 

The entire event tarnished Apple’s luster in the eyes of consumers and this isn’t a company that repeats mistakes often. Apple learned a hard lesson in 2007 — you can correctly justify that technology pricing changes fast, but consumers don’t care. A 33% price drop on a hotly anticipated phone within two to three months of availability doesn’t sit well with people. We can argue supply and demand or say that people paid $599 because they felt it was worth it, but that has little to do with the public’s perception of the situation. Apple won’t tread this path again with the iPad.

Apple’s going it alone

The iPad is a different beast though. Yes, the iPad 3G model will work only on AT&T’s data network, but there’s no voice component, nor any 2-year AT&T contract like that of the iPhone. So there’s likely no subsidy paid to Apple from AT&T. You won’t be able to grab an iPad in AT&T’s retail locations, either. Simply put: this is an all Apple product so there’s no price or subsidy negotiation with a carrier about the device. I’m sure Apple and AT&T talked about the 3G service features since it’s a new approach — instead of a long-term commitment like the iPhone has, iPad users can simply enable 3G for a month at a time. Without subsidies or heavy carrier involvement, there are fewer pricing factors involved.

Product lines and pricing tiers

There’s really not much room — if any — for the iPad prices to drop. Any price cuts and the iPad starts to contend with iPhone 3GS. On the surface, it’s easy to make the argument that the two devices are different because the iPhone offers cellular voice capability while the iPad doesn’t. However, if they’re priced the same, consumers will look deeper and see more similarities than differences — and that could influence purchase decisions on one or the other.

The Whole Thing About Adobe’s Flash Player Not Having Access to H.264 Hardware Acceleration on Mac OS X

I think the issue is a red herring, spin from Adobe intended to share the blame for Flash’s Mac OS X performance with Apple. First, Flash performance gripes are not limited to H.264 video playback. Everything Flash Player does is slower on Mac OS X than Windows. What’s Adobe’s excuse for Flash’s performance on non-H.264 video?

 

Second, even Apple’s own QuickTime on Snow Leopard only makes use of H.264 hardware acceleration with a single graphics card [...]

 

Third, no one is complaining about the lack of hardware acceleration for other video playback software on Mac OS X, like VLC, Movist, Perian, or even (as mentioned in the previous paragraph) QuickTime itself on machines without the Nvidia 9400M. [...]

 

Fourth, hardware accelerated H.264 support is a new feature in the as-yet-unreleased Flash Player 10.1. It in no way explains the performance difference in Flash Player 10.0 on Mac OS X and Windows.

 

Lastly, does anyone really think it would be a good idea for web content plugins to have direct access to graphics card hardware? Is it absurd to think that it’s a reasonable OS design to limit plugins to higher-level APIs? Should Flash Player be a kernel extension, so that it can ensure it gets plenty of CPU cycles and have direct access to whatever hardware it wants?

The whole test might need to be taken with a grain of salt though. Ozer couldn’t get Bootcamp working on his MacBook Pro, so:

 

I tested on the Mac using a MacBook Pro (3.06 GHz Core 2 Duo, 8 GB RAM, OS 10.6.2) while testing on Windows using an Hewlett Packard 8710w mobile workstation (2.2 GHz Core 2 Duo system running 64-bit Windows 7 with 2 GB of RAM).

 

Seems to me the Mac hardware was significantly faster than the Windows hardware — so I suspect his results are misleading with regard to just how much more efficient Flash is on Windows than Mac OS X.

Έχει που έχει ακόμη την έλλειψη του ελληνικού πληκτρολογίου, να το πληρώσει κανείς και με καπέλο για να το πάρει γρήγορα, επειδή κάποιο σκέφθηκαν να κερδοσκοπήσουν το βρίσκω πολύ υπερβολικό !

(Να θυμηθούμε και ότι από τη Δευτέρα ο ΦΠΑ θα είναι 21% και όχι 19% όπως γράφει στο σχετικό site ...)
