New update (10.5.1.A.0.292) rolling to older Xperia Z series New software with firmware build 10.5.1.A.0.292 has been released for the older Xperia Z series. The update moves the build number from the current version (10.5.1.A.0.283) and as the small change in build number suggests, there are no tangible changes. It is likely therefore to be a bug fix update only. The update is currently live for select regions on the Xperia Z, Xperia ZR and Xperia Tablet Z. The Xperia ZL is still yet to receive the update. If you have updated your handset, let us know of any changes in the comments below.

We’re bringing Android 5.0; Lollipop to the entire Xperia Z Series You’ve probably seen Google unveil Android version 5.0; Lollipop… Since the initial reveal of the Android “L” Developer Preview, we’ve seen lots of questions on our upgrade roadmap about our plans – so, here goes… We’ll be making Sony Mobile’s Android “L” upgrade available for the entire premium Z series*: including Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, Xperia Tablet Z, Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1S, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z1 Compact, Xperia Z2, Xperia Z2 Tablet, Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3v, Xperia Z3 Compact and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact. Sony Z Ultra Google Play edition devices will be first up – we’ll be back with more details on that soon. We’ll start the upgrade at beginning of 2015 for the core Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z2 series – continuing thereafter for all remaining devices above. We’ve been working hard to bring this major update to as many of our Z Series devices as we can, as quickly as we can. We’re really excited about the new Sony features & functionality and the improvements we’ve made to the user experience – and we’ll be sharing more soon… so stay tuned to the blog and @SonyMobileNews for all the latest and greatest. *************** Official: Sony bringing Android Lollipop to all Xperia Z devices from early 2015 Sony Mobile has just confirmed that it will upgrading the entire range of Xperia Z devices to Android 5.0 Lollipop at the start of 2015. For the avoidance of doubt, this includes the following handsets: Xperia Z Xperia ZL Xperia ZR Xperia Tablet Z Xperia Z1 Xperia Z1S Xperia Z Ultra Xperia Z1 Compact Xperia Z2 Xperia Z2 Tablet Xperia Z3 Xperia Z3v Xperia Z3 Compact Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact In terms of timing, the upgrade to Android Lollipop will commence in early 2015 for the Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z3 series. The other handsets will then be upgraded thereafter. Of course, the Sony Z Ultra Google Play edition will be updated in the coming weeks. There is no word on the upgrade plans for other Xperia handsets released in 2014, but hopefully Sony will confirm one way or the other soon enough. We doubt much will be said until the Xperia Z series has seen Lollipop.

New firmware (10.5.1.A.0.283) certified for the older Xperia Z series, could it be Android 4.4.4? A new firmware update with build number 10.5.1.A.0.283 has been certified by the PTCRB website for a number of handsets including the Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR and Xperia Tablet Z. There is a good chance that this new build will bring Android 4.4.4. A recent schedule update from Australian carrier Telstra confirmed that the Android 4.4.4 platform update was heading to the Xperia Z. Να υπάρχει σαν οδηγός για όλους. -----update----- Τελικά έκανα την εγκατάταση, πατώντας δεξί κλικ και εγκατάσταση στο igdlh.inf που βρίσκεται στο GFX...ή "Graphics". Εναλλακτικά επιλέγουμε: 1. update driver. 2. browse my computer for driver software (δεύτερη επιλογή). 3. browse στο φάκελλο GFX και επιλέγουμε το νεότερο αρχείο. Τελικά μας μπέρδεψες βρε αδερφέ με τον οδηγό σου...
