  3. Πολύ όμορφο!! ================================================ Ex-McLaren http://img517.imageshack.us/img517/6438/britgtmain01qp7.jpg There’s a definite resurgence in small and lightweight roadsters, tiny road-going racers with punchy engines and the kind of handling that owners of bigger and heavier sports cars can only dream of. Notable mentions include cars like the KTM X-bow, the Fisker designed Artega GT and anything with a Lotus badge on it. Soon we could be adding another entry to that list with news former McLaren Cars designer, Jim Dowle, is developing his own light weight sports car. Dowle was heavily involved with the design, development and testing of both the legendary McLaren F1 road car and more recently the Mercedes-Benz SLR. While at McLaren, Dowle worked mostly alongside Gordon Murray and gained ample experience in the field of advanced composites. His new project is for a small mid-engined coupe designed along the lines of the Lotus Exige, reports Pistonheads. Developers hope to have a prototype up and running within the next 18 months but most of the specifications are from being finalized. The car is expected to feature a 200hp four-cylinder engine and weigh a total of 870kg. There will be ample storage space so that it remains practical and the final price tag will be around £35,000 ($68,500). As an added bonus we’ve dug up photos of the original McLaren F1 supercar. Released in 1994, the Macca is arguably the greatest supercar ever made - at least until the Bugatti Veyron arrived on the scene. You can view the pictures in the gallery below. πηγή: MotorAuthority.com ================================================ Mitsubishi Lancer Prototype-S (Official Photos) http://img517.imageshack.us/img517/1134/mitsuprototypes1cpx8.jpg Updated: Mitsubishi today revealed its Protoype-S concept due in Geneva next week. The new high-res pictures detail the exterior and interior of the hatchback Lancer. Aimed squarely at arch-rival Subaru’s WRX hatch, the new Protoype-S looks well-armed for the fight. Read on for the gallery and full press release. Original: Back in 2005 Mitsubishi rolled out a concept version of a Lancer hatchback and less than a year later officials revealed the car was headed for production. Since then nothing much has been seen or heard of the new Lancer hatchback or the original Sportback Concept. That was until Mitsubishi announced that a near production concept will be unveiled at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, and now just weeks before the official unveiling images of the new concept have been revealed. Mitsubishi have kept the prototype close to its orginal inspiration, with the Jet Fighter Agression theme throughout the entire design. Using variations on the front grille from the Lancer Sedan as well as a front bonet similar to the Lanceer Evolution X. The interior is consist with the company’s current styling concepts. These include black suede finishes of the upper dashboard and door panels and brown coloured leather for the seats. When launched later in the year, this five-door hatchback variant of the new Lancer family is expected to account for 80% of its target European market. The Prototype-S features a lift-gate and flexible rear seating, and a sporty wedge-like profile with sharply chiselled lines and an assertive stance. Under the hood lies the Lancer Ralliart’s 240hp (177kW) 2.0L turbo engine and twin-clutch SST gearbox plus a full-time 4WD drivetrain with an active center differential. πηγή: MotorAuthority.com

  15. News: Sony Ericsson's new naming convention is on After a week of hard Sony Ericsson previewing here at GSMArena, seems like they are still making the headlines again this week. This time it's all about names. The Unofficial Sony Ericsson Blog revealed the new nomenclature scheme that Sony Ericsson will be using in their latest and future products. Another reported change is that the "i"-symbol will be dropped from now on. As you can see here in the full Sony Ericsson portfolio there are already 8 handsets without the "i" tag. As it seems, all handsets that come without the tag will be following the new naming nomenclature as depicted on the right. In the same time the "a" and "c" designations are here to stay - they would still denote model versions for the American and Chinese market. The fate of the K-series is still unknown. Sony Ericsson fans have grown to love the K-phones over the years and we doubt that they will be dumping it so easily, but who knows. As you already probably know, the new camera-centric mobiles by the brand will be named as C-series - that stems either from Camera or from Cyber-shot. The G-series, which we previewed last week, is named after the Generation Web platform. And finally, the last reported change is that from now on, the S-series will mean "Snapshot" instead of "Slider/Swivel". We will see about that, as no new products have been announced with the "S" designation. The rest of the series we've come to know will be left untouched. And you can bet we are looking forward to the Sony Ericsson P5 announcement this summer. http://img159.imageshack.us/img159/5302/picaj3.th.jpg ================================================== Rumor: New Low/Mid-End Slider Leaked SE4m has leaked photos of a new Sony Ericsson slider phone. It’s supposedly going to be a low-end phone with a 1.3 MP camera without auto focus. The display seems to be of QVGA resolution (if not, then 176 x 220 pixels), and boasting a diagonal of about 1.9 inches. Design wise the phone is covered in brushed metal with a tint of glass like material/glossy see-through plastic. It’s a tiny phone, measuring about 8 centimetres in height and about 4 centimetres in width. It is however a bit thick - about 15 millimetres. I could see this as being a generic version of an upcoming Walkman branded music phone. What makes me think so? The speaker around the navigation d-pad… Furthermore, Sony Ericsson might boost the camera resolution to two mega pixels, and call it a style-minded mid-end phone. Some might think I’m crazy calling this a potential mid-end phone, but the large bump on the back might indicate a special feature, and the soft key layout as well as the call and end buttons could indicate the presence of the A200 platform. One thing to notice is the lack of buttons on the sides of the phone. I’m guessing this will be announced at CeBIT. Lots of photos after the jump. http://img136.imageshack.us/img136/5421/dsc00210zq5lm5sb7.th.jpg

  21. News: Sony Ericsson patent for projector phones Sony Ericsson has filed a patent application for projector technology inside mobile phones. According to the application, when the projector beams the desired image on to a surface, the onboard camera will take an image of the projected image to analyze if any adjustments are to be made. Thus you can change the intensity of the projector to get the perfect image. The developments are currently under the process and there are several mobile phone samples with the inbuilt projector. Probably this technology will sometime be as customary as built-in cameras today. πηγή: Mobile-Review.com http://img212.imageshack.us/img212/5823/sonyericssonprojectorpaos0.jpg
