News: Motorola A1800 already available in China The Motorola Company have deliberately begun promoting Motorola Motoming A1800 in China since itʼs one of the most attractive markets for the manufacturers of mobile devices. The handset is designed to operate both in GSM and WCDMA networks and equipped with a 2.4” screen that sports a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. A 3Mp autofocusing camera is utilized for taking pictures. A Bluetooth unit, microSD slot and GPS unit are also present. A handwriting recognition feature is available. For the time being the gadget is intended to be used in China only; however Motorola develops a European and American version. The truth is, itʼs yet unknown when this version will hit the shelf on the world market.

Actually, to our great surprise, the mobile is not bad at all. Really, its not handsome, which is strange for LG. The panel is made by low-grade plastic and looks very cheap. But!!! It has very pretty menu and…. – watch out!- as you saw in the video, it seems to offer some kind of multitasking, which is absolutely new for a cell phone without OS. Other unique think: the TV. The tuner is DVB-H (Digital Video Broadcasting - Handheld) over DVB-T. (Digital Video Broadcasting Terrestrial). It works very nice. The picture is perfect (which is logic) and the sound is very good for the cell phone. So, if in your town there is a DVB-T channels, now is the time to cheat your boss by watching TV at work. One eventual disadvantage may will be the antenna, which looks very slender. So, you have to be careful not to break it. Other thing is the flip, which looks weak too and may cause problems. Our personal opinion is that the mobile is very interesting. The price is around three hundred and twenty euro, which is acceptable for something with these novelties. Despite the very bad plastic, used by LG for this cell phone, the gadget justify its price and we think that you will have a lot of fan with it. Porsche May Develop New Golf-Sized Entry Level Car http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/562/90806080051mye0.jpg Relations between Porsche and Volkswagen are getting increasingly closer since the companies decided to create Touareg and Cayenne, which share the same platform and some mechanical components. Whether Porsche ever manages to control Volkswagen, what seem to be getting closer, since Germany is being taken to court over Volkswagen Law, the fact is Wolfsburg could easily give Stuttgart an entry level model. The candidate, according to the German magazine AutoBild, will be sixth generation Golf, which may share its platform with a new model from Porsche. The new car, expected to be presented in 2012, will be able to defy BMW 1-Series, Audi A3 and the new generation of Mercedes-Benz entry-level cars, said to be more performance oriented. Would that be a bad idea for Porsche? Not if you consider BMW has been exploring cheaper segments with success, with 1-Series and Mini. Audi is already preparing A1 to enter the same car segment explored by Mini, while Alfa Romeo has recently presented Mi.To. Therefore, why should Porsche be out of this new and promising luxury niche? When we remember BMW has been considering bringing back the Isetta, maybe all premium brands should be already thinking the same way.

Another Sony Ericsson phone gets a facelift At the end of May, we reported on a Ducati-themed Sony Ericsson Z770. This trend continues, with the announcement of the W760 MTV edition. As with most themed handsets, this is identical to the original, with a few differences. Obviously, the handset's paintjob is completely different, with the MT edition sporting bright vibrant colours and designs. As is always the case, expect MTV-specific wallpapers, videos, and ringstones. It will be first available in Italy, for €300 pre-paid. It's the first time in a while that a phone maker has gone to a bike maker to design a handset, the trend is normally car makers. The Soul b stands for Spirit Of Ultra in bar form factor. For the sake of preciseness, we've got to point out that the actual name of the device is Soulb. And the Samsung U800 Soul b clearly bears the Samsung Soul traits, as the keyboard layout, shape and all-metal styling. Samsung Soul b is a feature-loaded handset with a brushed-metal finish. Its minimalistic design, mere 9.9mm thickness and 88.7g rank the phone among the most compact phones, being a tad better than Nokia 6500 classic. Other features that put the Soul b in direct head-on collision course with the Nokia 6500 classic are the 1GB built-in memory, and the bright 2" 16M TFT display with 240 x 320 pixels resolution.
