HTC TouchFLO 2 "Manila" leaks out, are you brave enough to install it?

Alright, HTC Touch owners -- who's going to take the hit and install this leaked build of TouchFLO 2.0 that's been spreading around under the codename Manila? From the screenshots, it looks like it does a better job of taking over from the standard WinMo interface, but it still retains the reskinned-launcher relationship with the OS that we find slightly awkward. Still, we're curious -- who's got the stones to give it a shot?

I have zero information if these screenshots are legit or just a simple PhotoShop result but according to Swiss Windows Mobile fan-site "Mobile-Devices.ch", bellow you see some screenshots of HTC's upcoming/next TouchFLO GUI which is code-named "Manila".

No further information given so it's not clear if it is real (really from HTC), an HTC development environment or really HTC "TouchFLO 2.0"; also Mobile-Devices.ch hasn't mentioned where they got the information from but from what you can see from the screenshots, it could be real indeed:

UPDATE: Original source seems to be "The HTC Insider" Blog. But also no word here if it is legit and where it comes from.

UPDATE 2: Okay, as I've heard from several anonymous sources (thanks for the E-Mails), this is indeed a new user interface, HTC might release later this year - most likely with its upcoming devices (but it might also replace the current TouchFLO as available on the HTC Touch, HTC Touch Dual and HTC Touch Cruise). Nevertheless, it's intend for internal testing and usage only and the files, floating around the Internet aren't intend to be installed on current production devices. If you are not a developer, better don't install anything yet.

Its real, and you can get the cab at XDA-Developers. Its however slow, and people are not exactly clamoring to install it.

Manila set to replace TouchFLO in HTC communicators

 

The Web has seen a couple of screenshots which are, as the source claims, nothing less than the new user interface codenamed

Manila brought about by HTC. We have can’t tell for sure whether this information is 100 percent correct or true, but the it has been

reported that this UI is the next stage of the company’s very own TouchFLO’s development, and just like the predecessor it works with

touch-display enabled communicators, allowing for finger based navigation. Also it is said the new UI version will come implemented in

HTC-branded devices towards the end of this year. Unfortunately, no more cues about the Manila are available as of today.

Το δοκίμασε κανείς; Ενα cab ειναι απο οτι καταλαβα, το τρέχουμε και voila ? :cry: Μου αρεσουν πολυ τα screens που βλέπω :shifty:

Εγώ δεν το βρήκα με - ομολογουμένως - λίγο search, υποτίθεται ότι έχει κυκλοφορήσει στο xda-developers στο οποίο δε βρίσκω άκρη :-( .

Καποιος που να εχει το εχει εγκαταστατησει κε σε ποια συσκευη?

Εγκατεστησα Manila στο Τouch Cruise με το "Patch" για 320 χ 240 ....

 

Παιζει με 4-5 FPs στην καλυτερη ...

 

Ειναι πολυ νωρις ακομα ...

 

ΥΓ : Αν το εγκατασησει κανεις το Unistall πρεπει να γινει Manual ....
