Bλέποντας wifi και gps ούτε καν κοίταξα για AF γιατί θεώρησα δεδομένο ότι θα είχε! :X Και τώρα κοιτώντας πιο προσεκτικά τα specs ανακάλυψα πως δεν..! :ninja:

Sony Ericsson has a GreenHeart concept phone which hasn’t entered production yet, and it might not be massively produced any time soon. The concept phone is meant to prove that a phone is environmentally sustainable through its life cycle.

 

The GreenHeart will sport some of the various features:

 

• bio-plastic housings
  
• recycled plastic keypads
  
• a zero charger with 3.5mW standby power
  
• HTML based e-manuals instead of traditional printed ones
  
• environmentally conscious packaging.
  

Sony Ericsson is on their way of creating a better eco-friendly, biodegradable phone. Hopefully they will be able to actually launch one for the general public.

Sony Ericsson K750 successor, with 5MP camera leaked

 

Sony Ericsson are working on a successor to the immensely popular K750 handset - codenamed Kate, and to be park of the CyberShot line of handsets.

As seen in the images below, it somewhat resembles the company's C902 handset, looks-wise. It should be announced later next month, and be available

by the end of the year. Price-wise, it should retail in the region of €300.

 

Known specs go as follows:

Connectivity: Quad-band GSM, HSDPA, EDGE

Camera: 5MP, with AF, Xenon flash, and smile shutter

Extras: Light sensor, camera button - switches between picture, button, and preview mode.

We could have done with some more details on this upcoming Walkmanized G705, but all we can bring to you as of now is another clandestine shot of the Rika, this time clad in sultry red. We are still speculating on what it holds other than dedicated music controls and 3G (evident by the front-facing camera) but with an official announcement already being prepped, we could expect to know more in a few days. If the rumored official announcement does come through this month, we might even see this mysterious slider hit the shelves just in time for Christmas!

Sony Ericsson Kate leaks again - this time with better pics

A new Sony Ericsson cameraphone codenamed Kate has been the main subject of info leaks recently, but we finally see better images of the device.

Armed with 5 megapixel camera, this yet unannounced Cyber-shot looks like a mix between the Sony Ericsson K770 and Sony Ericsson C902.

 

Currently, not much is known about the Sony Ericsson Kate, but as rumors go, it should sport a xenon flash

camera mode switch, and Smile shutter feature. It will also have UMTS support.

 

The Sony Ericsson Kate is definitely thicker than the Sony Ericsson C902, but still looks good, although a bit too

conservative on the front and a bit too flamboyant on the back with this large shiny lens cover.

Sony Ericsson shows a new way to zoom in/on with mobile phones

Sony Ericsson have recently filed a patent for a new method to zoom in/out on pictures with our mobile phones – while its primary focus

are imaging-savvy handsets like the company’s latest and greatest C905 (although it doesn’t have this feature), it’s not

unthinkable that they will actually find a way to implement it into stand-alone digital cameras.

 

As the patent application reads, all you need to do to move the phone closer to the object in case

you want to zoom in and, on the other hand, to zoom out you will need to step back a little.

 

Apart from a bundled camera, this technology also requires built-in motion and proximity sensors in the phone.

 

The only question remains is whether this gimmicky feature will actually jump off the paper and get into Sony Ericsson’s phones, since

basically it doesn’t sound like a major breakthrough and some might still give their preference to the conventional way of zooming.

New Sony Ericsson W705 Slider coming

Sony Ericsson has made available a UAProf for the W705, an unannounced phone. Given the similarity of the Sony Ericsson G705 to the previously leaked "Rika" photos (see below), it is somewhat likely that the "Rika" photos show the new W705.

 

The UAProf reveals that the W705 will have a 240 x 320 pixel screen and it is reported that the device will also have a 3.2 Megapixel camera, WiFi and aGPS.

 

It is expected that the W705 will be officially announced later this month.

Are they running out of new designs in the Sony Ericsson's lab or are they just porting over cell phones with a few changes from different segments? After the Rika, we have news about yet another cellphone that's going for the Walkman branding, the F305 gaming phone, which will become the W305 when it is released next year in March. Going by the code name of "Yao" (F305 was called Ying), the W305 will sport pretty much the same features as the F305 before it was Walkmanized, dropping the gaming keys on top for the Walkman button, a 2-megapixel camera, a 176x220 display, and most probably EDGE support, making this another low-ender in the Walkman category. More details as we find them!
