It will not update your Windows XP system to SP3. It also contains a number of private hotfixes that are usually only issued to users with a specific identifiable problem. The hotfixes are not as rigorously tested at public released ones this is why we ask you to call PSS to get them so we can track you and provide further assistance such as new versions of the fixes etc as they become available. Just installing all the "privates" on your PC may make your machine LESS stable and will also put you out of support from Microsoft or an OEM as you are installing incorrectly issued private hotfixes. Frankly this "package" should be avoid and you should continue to use Windows Update and the download site to get the most up-to-date and correctly issued Microsoft fixes and patches." October 9, 2005 Θα συμφωνήσω και εγώ περισσότερα προβλήματα δημιουργεί παρά επιλύει.Μακρια μακρια .Νομίζω με το SP2 και όποια hotfix είμαστε καλυμένοι.Αλλωστε αν η Microsoft κρίνει ότι πρεπει να βγάλει ένα ολοκληρωμένο πακέτο θα το κάνει όπως έγινε απο το SP1 στο SP2 Παράθεση Υπογραφή.... Service pack 3 για τα windows xp δεν υπάρχει και αν θέλετε να έχετε ένα πακέτο με διορθωτικά patches, μπορείτε να τα κατεβάσετε από την Microsoft, από τη σχετική σελίδα και να τα αποθηκεύσετε στον υπολογιστή σας. Οποιαδήποτε συλλογή από patches, που δεν ξέρετε ακριβώς τι είναι και την έχει φτιάξει κάποιος άλλος, εκτός από τον αρμόδιο, που -καλώς ή κακώς- είναι η Microsoft, δεν είναι ό,τι καλύτερο για το μηχάνημα σας. October 10, 2005 The Hotfix responds to Microsoft Posted 09 Oct 2005 - 06:43 It recently came to our attention that an employee at Microsoft was incredibly concerned about the hotfixes we were providing users, even though these fixes are officially from Microsoft themselves. We've since taken down our hosted download link and posted a link to a mirror instead if anyone still wants to give it a shot. Here is our response: The Hotfix does agree with Microsoft that the "Windows XP Service Pack 3" is indeed just a collection of hotfixes and not any official SP3. We have recently updated our language on a number of pages warning users that the fixes we provide are an unofficial pack and that only expert Windows users should install them at their own will. The being said, we disagree with Microsoft in terms of what SP3 is. Our pack is indeed a preview to what the official service pack will be, as these hotfixes will be in Service Pack 3 as proven by Microsoft's own knowledge base. Searching with the keywords "kbwinxppresp3fix" and "kbwinxpsp3fix" at http://support.microsoft.com/search/?adv=1 will provide you with an exact list of what we give out, nothing more, nothing less. Each of these hotfixes can be obtained for free from Microsoft by calling their support lines. Will these hotfixes make your machine less stable? Yes, there is that possibility. Is that at the fault of The Hotfix? No. Regardless of which site these may have come from, they were created by Microsoft. If you are a normal user, avoid the package. But if you're a Windows enthusiast, like the type of people who our website caters to, then give it a shot at your own will. Who knows, maybe it will actually fix a bug in Windows XP that should have never been there in the first place for you. Αν, αν η μνήμη μου δεν με απατά, κάπου πέτυχα πρόσφατα κείμενο (δεν τονίζω αν ειναι άρθρο επίσημο ή απλά κάποια τυχαία είδηση) που δήλωνε πως το SP3 δεν θα έρθει πριν το 2007. Εμενα με κερδισε και το χρησιμοποιω σε καθε νεα εγκατασταση. Οσο για το explorer.exe , αλλο ο Windows Explorer και αλλο ο Internet Explorer. Φυσικα και αμα σβησεις το explorer.exe δε θα δουλευει τιποτα μιας και αυτο ειναι υπευθυνο για το "γραφικο περιβαλλον" που σου επιτρεπει να browsαρεις τα αρχεια του υπολογιστη σου.. January 21, 2006 sp3?of course γιατί όχι??μια χαρά είναι προστοπαρων.εγώ πάντως δεν το βάζω. σε forums έχει κάνει αισθητή την ύπαρξει του. forum συγννώμη γιατο λινκ αν παραβαίνει τους ΟΠΧ pm σε εμένα για το λινκ. α αυτό το service pack έχει όλα τα updates που έχουν βγει,ανανεωένους drivers usb,graphics card. ότι άλλο περιμένετε όταν θα βγούν. κάποιος είπε ότι όλη η προσοχή είναι στα vista.:shifty: :confused: μπααα.έχει υπάρξει thread(myphone.gr) που λέει ότι ετοιμάζονται και για τα επόμενα windows:cool: αλλά δεν παίρνω όρκο αν αληθεύει.
