I applaud Eidos on this decision. When I first heard about this game, I couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t coming to the Wii. It was being developed for the PS2, which would mean that a Wii version wouldn’t be a stretch at all. On top of that, Eidos had said they wanted to support Nintendo more this time around. Finally we hear an announcement that the game is indeed headed to Wii. Expect it to ship sometime this year.

Mario strikers Online:Εντυπωσεις

 

Τα πρωτα Hands On για το Mario Strikers Online ειναι πολυ θετικα και ουσιαστικα κανουν λογο οτι περα απο τα ξεχωριστα friend codes το online κομματι ειναι μια πολυ καλη αρχη για το Wii και αφηνει ενθαρυντικες υποσχεσεις για τα Online games που θα ακολουθησουν.

So what of the online games? Happily, they were fantastic. Each was quick to load and free from slowdown, and anyone who has ever enjoyed a typically thrilling Wi-Fi game of Mario Kart on the DS will already have some idea of how hilarious multiplayer Mario Strikers can be on the internet.The game itself allowed up to four-players to compete simultaneously in teams of two, and featured a ranked mode alongside the standard friendly match setting.

 

Setting up an online game involved inviting players from a 'friend list' that displayed cards detailing adversaries' total wins, losses and draws, along with an Xbox LIVE style profile. It was not clear how you will invite new friends to your list, but I managed to confirm that the 12 digit 'friend code' that identifies you is not the same as your Wii's own code. That means friend codes could well be different for each game, as with the DS, though details are yet to be released on future Wii online games.

 

On the whole both Mario Strikers and the Wii as an online gaming platform impressed, offering accessibility and the potential for hilarious fun.

While at first it may seem little more than a fast-paced, space-age cartoony kickabout, after repeated play of the single-player and both offline and online multiplayer games, it becomes clear that there is far more depth to the game than, at first, meets the eye. This is something we pretty much knew already, but it’s nice to have an official confirmation. A portion of Gamers interview with Justin Dowdeswell from Next Level Games…

 

G: So how does getting online work?

 

NLG: In the menu, there’s a spcial NWFC icon. You can see a random list of players from your continent, or play with your friends. Players will be ranked by stars, and the max number of players is four. Only two Wiis can be connected (excuse is to avoid lag), so to play with four you need two people on each Wii.

 

G: Can you play against people from all across the world?

 

NLG: Parties are limited to regions corresponding to continents. This limits connection problems caused by distance and you’ll still have plenty of people to play with. Regions are: USA, EU, Japan, AUS. Rankings are also region-specific.

 

G: And the Mii code, how’s that work?

 

NLG: Each Mii generates a Mii code that remains constant. This code will be used for all online titles in the future.

παλιά (Ocarina of time, Majora's Mask) και τα τελειώνω

και κατέβασα και το Wind Waker όπως και το Four Swords

Παιδες ας με(μας) ενημερωσει καποιος(εστω με pm) που μπορω να παω να "εγχειρισω" το wii...Ψαχνω το θεμα εδω και αρκετο καιρο αλλα διστυχως δεν εχω βρει καποια ακρη στην Αθηνα.Η πλακα ειναι οτι στα διαφορα site-forum που μπαινω(ελληνικα φυσικα),ολοι φαινετε οτι την εχουν κανει την "εγχειριση" αλλα απο "πληροφοριες" και λεπτομερειες τιποτα!
