The provided Rom image is based on an official WWE WM 6.1 OS 5.2.21109 Build 21109.1.6.0 version. - The MS_IPL and Uboot are not changed by this build. - The XIP is been upgraded in order to handle 6.1 builds. - This build is User Customization and D3D ready. - You can install M2D from provided cab lib as wel as many other apps. - Before flashing make a backup of your files. If you do not have already installed the USB drivers, it is time to do so. USB drivers are in the download folder with this name. 4. After USB driver installation run ChiSync33.exe. 5. Hi, This procedure can be applied to all devices and is usefull in order to create the original backup of your rom image. **************************************************************************************** Before upgrade your rom for first time, backup your device rom as follows. **************************************************************************************** What you need as extra: 1. registry editor, installed in your pda from a *.cab (registry editor is a free cab) 2. itsutils form Scoter Kitchen or from other source, installed in your PC/Laptop (at C:\Itsutils) What to do initially: Set with registry editor aka regedit the following values: HKLM\Security\Policies\Policies Name #00001001 must have data set to 1 Name #0000101a must have data set to 1 What to do next: 1. Hi and sorry for writing in English here, As far as for the code inside 28005 can be compared with its newer 28205 only. The XIP is also more advanced and is very fast and the most stable build of all i tested on many and different devices. The backlight.cpl accepts 10 sec, 30 sec, 1 min, 2min, 3min, 4min and 5 min on battery power. .. Icons of AllInOne are working -except phone- in the icon tray. .. The green battery icon displays the power.exe module. ... From that icon we change only power device turn off setings. .. The icon battery in the Task Bar top right displays the backlight.exe module. ... Dear forum members, Χρόνια Πολλά, This is the new Rom for Mio P550: WWE-WM6.1-CE-OS-5.2.21109-Build-21109.1.6.0, Mobile Vista 4.00 SeaDragon UC. The CE image is based on the Official WM6.1 CE OS 5.2.21109 ( Build 21109.5.0.0 ). This SeaDragon 4.00 Version includes the following: 1. Time wizard. .. A Time Wizard is implemented, so after flashing keep your device usb connected in order for auto date/time input. 2. Power Management. .. Power management service has been implemented. .. Backlight.cpl and Power.cpl modules are implemented in order for new languages to be displayed natively. .. The backlight.cpl accepts 10 sec, 30 sec, 1 min, 2min, 3min, 4min and 5 min on battery power. .. Icons of AllInOne are working -except phone- in the icon tray. .. The green battery icon displays the power.exe module. ... From that icon we change only power device turn off setings. .. The icon battery in the Task Bar top right displays the backlight.exe module. ... From this module the backlight timeout can be changed and take place immediately at 10sec, 30sec, 1min, 2min, 3min, 4min and 5min. ... Do not change the screen's brightness from this module due to a reset is needed for settings to be applied. .. The backlight from Start\SettingsSystem adjusts brightness imediately but do not set backlight turn off from this module. 4. Audio Management. .. Windows Media Player is included. .. Audio Manager, as a cab in VistaLibWWE21109MVSD4_00, is also provided in seadragon colors. 5. Blue Tooth wireless stereo. .. Wireless Stereo has been reworked and the provided a2dp is almost lag/skip free.. .. It was tested with BB-02 wireless stereo head phone with very good results. 6. Obex over Blue Tooth. .. Obex File Transport is supported and you can send/receive files with total commander and fexplorer easily. 7. Blue Tooth over Activesync. .. You can connect your device wireless and have control of all your windows and SD card files. .. Advanced network functionality from Start\Settings\Connections\USB to PC is activated. .. Genarally we first activesync our device with a USB cable connection and then over bluetooth. 8. WiFi/Wlan Management. .. The original OEM drivers are included. .. It is also included the WiFicountry.cab. a. User Interfaces. .. The windows mobile 6.1 interface. .. An SDConfig.txt file is provided with the a simple reset function. b. Applications. Instructions to successfully flash the rom CE image Here bellows are the instructions to successfully flash it. Unzip the downloaded file: Mio_P550_WWE_WM6.1.21109.MobileVista4.00SeaDragon_by_ansar.zip and in the created directory you will have the following: 1. The RomUpgrade folder. 2. The VistaLibWWE21109MVSD4_00 folder. 3. This readme.txt file. 3. The control text file SDConfig.txt of a single rest instruction. Before flashing we make a backup of our files in Storage Card using your favorite backup. In case you do not have a backup application install the PIMBackup.cab found in the VistaLibWWE21109MVSD4_00 directory. Use the same backup application you used to save your data in order to recover them after flashing. Place the VistaLibWWE21109MVSD4_00 dir and the SDConfig.txt file in the Storage Card and flash the Mio_P550_WWE_WM6.1.21109.MobileVista4.00SeaDragon_by_ansar.bin image file as follows: 1. Install the required usb driver found in the USB driver folder 2. Enter Mio P550 in boot loader menu as follows: 2.1 In case the device is at power off state: .... Press and hold the joystick DOWN and then Power on the device. 2.2 In case the device is at power on state: .... Press and hold the joystick DOWN and then also press the reset button. 3. In both 2.1 and 2.2 when see the blue color screen, release joystick. You are at Oscar250/260AB_UT_R12 menu. 4. Connect the device with your PC/Laptop using a USB cable. 5. Press joystick to select 0=Image Upgrade Tools menu. 6. Then press joystick to select 0=Image by USB. 7. Wait to see the messages Download & Run, Waiting for download..., USB Cable connected. 8. From RomUpgrade folder run dnw5.0e.exe 9. Verify that [uSB:OK] is displayed in the DNW v0.50E popup window title bar. 10. From USB port menu select Transmit 11. Select Mio_P550_WWE_WM6.1.21109.MobileVista4.00SeaDragon_by_ansar.nb0 file and click on open. 12. The downloading and flashing process will start and will finish at the same menu: Image Upgrade Tools 13. Close DNW v0.50E popup window. 14. With the joystick select 2=Exit to return in the Uboot menu. 15. Hard reset your device by holding UP the joystick and then pressing the reset button. 16. Wait to see the splash screen and then release the joystick. The rom upgrade process will perform as follows: a. Loads all splash screens, performs the welcome screen and displays the initial Today screen. b. Then loads Mobile_Vista theme and installs the cabs that reside in the rom. c.
