A mobile phone made in the shape of Marlboro cigarette box How can a mobile phone appear appealing to a smoker? By its shape made like a cigarette box and it’d be fantastic that the mobile phone can be used as a cigarette box as well for storing their cancer sticks. Okay, having a mobile phone made in the shape a cigarette box is nothing new to us. It’d come out in China last year and we’ve shown you before. But the mobile phone made in the shape of the Chinese-brand of cigarette pack would probably give you a little dissapointment. As simple as that it’s not your favorite brand of cigarette. http://img181.imageshack.us/img181/6550/001go4.jpg So for the American, the design of this cigarette-box-shaped mobile phone has envolved, it now includes your favorite brand of cigarette - Marlboro. This Marlboro mobile phone supports dual band, and features a 1.8 inch LCD which offers a display of 260,000 colors and a 176 x 220 pixel resolution. http://img181.imageshack.us/img181/5929/003tc8.jpg Similar to the original, the Marlboro phone allows you to store your cancer sticks at its back by removing the back cover. The Marlboro phone costs you only $140, which is worth to own especially for smokers as you’ll just need to carry a single gadget for both making calls and carrying your cancer sticks around. http://img55.imageshack.us/img55/4791/002fo4.jpg Specifications: - Frequency: Dual-band 900 / 1800 MHz - Display: 1.8" LCD, 260'000 colors, 176 x 220 px resolution - Languages: Simplified Chinese, English, some other languages according to the quantity - Ringtone: 64 chord polyphonic, MP3, MP4, MIDI - Call: show the opponent city whichever he's using phone calls or fixed phone - Music: play MP3 at background, equalizer support - Video: 3GP, MP4, support to play in full screen - Camera: max output is 640 x 480, support to shoot with sound - File formats: JPG, GIF, MP3, MP4, MIDI, 3GP - Memory: give a TF card(128M) as present, support to extend, Document management - Data transfer: support USB direct read / U disc - Internet: WAP, GPRS - Phonebook: 300 groups of contacts of carte de visit, support incoming call with big head sticker, grouping ring - Messaging: 200 SMS, support 100 MMS(MMS storage: 5000K) - Power switch: support to start/close under set time - Alarm: 3 groups; support alarm clock when machine's closed, support MP3 as alarm ring - Games: Tetris Elements, Five In a Row - Talk time: 120 - 200 minutes - Standby time: 150 - 220 hours - Dimensions: 94 x 55 x 23 mm - Weight: 80 grams - Color: Red or White - Miscellaneous: MP3, MP4, Handsfree, SMS group sending, Voice recorder, WAP, GPRS download, MMS, Memory extended, E-book, Cool appearance, calls show, area code inquiry, IP dial, self-designed ring, sound record, calculator, calendar, memos, notebook, Commemoration etc. - Τιμή: 91.04 ευρώ -

Now several official photos have leaked to prove that the Thunder is a real deal and it will boast a spanking new Blackberry Touch UI OS. If you have accidentally felt that you may be riding the tech wave with your super latest high tech mobile phone, RIM might just be able to prove you wrong. While we are still waiting for an official announcement, meet the BlackBerry Thunder. The BlackBerry Thunder 9500 will run on a new Blackberry OS that's fully touch-centric and will sport a 2.5" 65K color touchscreen TFT display with 360 x 480 pixels resolution. Most importantly it will be a hybrid device, working in GSM and EV-DO networks supporting EDGE/HSDPA and built-in GPS. Interestingly enough, those press-grade photos leak just days before the Apple iPhone 3G release in what seems to be a Blackberry PR attempt to dissuade some potential iPhone 3G customers. And indeed, it looks like Apple iPhone 3G has got a tough competitor in the face of the BlackBerry Thunder. The latter will run a carrier music store which is similar to the iPhone's iTunes store and will allow users to purchase songs directly from their device. Internet browsing on BlackBerry Thunder will be significantly improved to match the superb Safari browser in the iPhone. We hope the Thunder will also sport the sweet auto screen rotation feature as well - it's all about accelerometers these days. The feature-rich device will probably run on the 624 MHz CPU known from the recently announced Blackberry Bold. The BlackBerry Thunder 9500 will be exclusively available for Verizon and Vodafone customers but its pricing and availability are not confirmed by a reliable source.

Night at the Museum 2 [imdb.com] The Trades reported that Christopher Guest is joining Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Robin Williams and Rocky Gervais in the Night at the Museum sequel currently shooting in Vancouver. Guest will play Ivan the Terrible and join actors Bill Hader (as Custer), Jon Bernthal (Al Capone) and French actor Alain Chabat (Napolean). Reno 911 veterans Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant, writers of both Museum films, will be making an appearance as the Wright Brothers. I didn't think the first movie was any good. My Dad told me he laughed his *** off but my Dad is getting old and pretty much anything will make an old person laugh when they realize death is knocking on their doorstep. Is that a bad thing to say about your father? I'm a horrible person. I wish my parents had taught me about things like morals, kindness, and lockpicking. If you missed Night at the Museum, the Blu-Ray transfer looks fantastic and it was that movie playing in Circuit City that convinced me to buy my stupid fresh Panasonic 50" plasma television set last year because it looked so awesome. I wish Ben Stiller was always there to make my buying decisions for me. Then shopping at Target wouldn't take so long. What was this news story supposed to be about again?? πηγή: www.latinoreview.com

Sony Ericsson's C905 to come with Wayfinder software Sony Ericsson's C905 8 megapixel cameraphone, due for release in the fourth quarter, is to come pre-installed with the Wayfinder application pre-installed. Wayfinder is a mobile application, which offers navigation services. The version on the C905 will come with a three-month trial version of the Navigtor software, which , obviously enables you to navigate your way to a specific location. After the trial period, you can purchase the full version for approximately €149 for a continent (Europe or North America) or 99 euros for a single European country ,not including the GPS receiver. Also included is the cleverly named Active application, which lets users plan outdoor activities. The last two applications are Earth, and Speed Alert, the latter of which you will be charged for using. Earth, currently in beta stage, gives the user free maps, the same of which are included in Navigator, but, unlike Navigator, voice-guided navigation is missing. Moving maps and POIs are included. Speed Alert warns users when they are approaching any of the twenty two thousand speed cameras across the whole of Europe, and it also warns users when they go over a set speed limit - set by the user. πηγή: Mobile-Review

Philips have a long list of yawn-fest worthy devices, so their latest full touch Xenium X800 easily is making its way to the headlines. Although it hasn't hit the shelves yet, the Philips Xenium X800 has already gone through its first review. We already know that the Philips Xenium X800 features tri-band GSM/GPRS support and a 2.9-inch 262K color TFT display with a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels. The Philips X800 also flaunts a 2 megapixel auto focus camera, a microSD memory card slot, Bluetooth, an office documents reader. The first Philips Xenium X800 review reveals some interesting details about the performance of the sleek-looking mobile. But before we continue here is a bunch of live photos of the handset. It does have some pretty nice curves, doesn't it? As far as the device performance is considered the reviewers are really happy with the touchscreen sensitivity and the responsiveness of the device. The 1250 mAh battery is also quoted as being quite a performer - and it should be, as the manufacturer promises up to 850 hours of standby time and up to 8 hours of talk-time. We are yet to see when the Philips X800 will hit the market and at what price but the initial impressions it leaves are all quite positive. http://img522.imageshack.us/img522/553/picyg3.jpg ...more Photos -
Second profit warning for Sony Ericsson After posting poor Q4 profits earlier this year, it seems there's more trouble ahead for Sony Ericsson, as they issued their second profit warning this year, putting the blame on enced by the second profit warning of 2008 that was issued last week. SE is pinpointing the blame of unlikey seeing profits rise for the second qurter on "disappointing European sales of its mid- and high-end mobile phones". With the recently announced C905 8MP cameraphone, and forthcoming XPERIA X1, these two should hope to give the maker good results for the third quarter, but there's still the mid-end range to tackle too. πηγή: Mobile-Review
