So what we could add would be the first, thinnest, most wonderful, most calculator-like full QWERTY phone. Leaving jokes aside, this thingy here is actually a sort of, way smallish Java J2Me hand phone, with GSM/GPRS particles, multimedia features, a MP3 Player, a camera, and a microSD slot. The BachPod is a limited edition issue featuring the classic 120GB Apple iPod and 175 hours of masterpieces by J. S. Bach. And because we’re in the Xmas season, they threw in an extra 63 GB in for you! Initially it was supposed to be an original 172CD release to commemorate 250 years from Bach’s death. I wonder why we don’t celebrate his birthday? I mean nothing good came out of his death anyway. The music on the iPod is considered to be the most valuable collection of Bach’s work, that has been ever recorded, the Bachakademie Edition. You can get this nice package for Christmas for about $750. The new colors that are ready for the Christmas season are Graphite, and Passionate Purple, which is the one you can see on the image. Sony Ericsson Ready for an Android Handset? Sony Ericsson had a terrible year so far. At some point we had some rumors saying that Sony and Ericsson are going to break up. Well they haven’t done that yet and, even better than that, Sony Ericsson has announced it’s intention to join the Open Handset Alliance. Will an Android handset arrive in 2009? Is the company ready for such a commitment? Sony Ericsson doesn’t have specific plans for a 2009 release. In fact there’s nothing official pointing to that. Future Android products will be high-end products but in the same time the platform won’t be exclusive to high-end products in the future. Sony Ericsson won’t put its eggs in only one basket and it will continue to release Symbian and Windows Mobile handsets too. What will 2009 look like from the Sony Ericsson point of view look like? Nokia Works on New Swivel QWERTY Smartphone; Patent Ready http://www.mobilewhack.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/nokia-swivel-qwerty-patent.jpg Nokia has a new patent which describes a new smartphone. It will feature a swivel widescreen and a full QWERTY keyboard. The idea is pretty ingenious. You have a widescreen for all those videos and all that video browsing you want and it swivels out only when it’s needed. Otherwise you will be using just half of that screen. We have plenty of questions for you Nokia! How big will the smartphone be? How will that screen stay glued to the rest of the phone? Will that been support multi-touch?
