"Price of Xbox 360 lowered under the price of Wii

 

All console fans living in the United Kingdom should really consider buying a new platform now - if they are interested in XboX 360 by Microsoft. Some retailers offered their customers what Microsoft wouldn’t: cheaper Xbox 360s. Way cheaper! As reported by several websites over the last couple of days, some UK retailers have initiated an unexpected, unseasonal, and unofficial series of price cuts for the Xbox 360, as well as for the old PlayStation 2. In particular, the “Core” package of Microsoft’s next-gen console is currently enjoying the most consistent promotions, with price cuts of up to £50 (€75 / $98). So instead of the suggested retail price of £199.99 ($390), the Core Xbox 360 is now being sold for £149.99 ($292) in some places. As a side-effect, this means that Microsoft’s console is now actually cheaper than Nintendo’s Wii, priced at £179.99 ($351), despite it packing way more computing power. The “Premium” bundle, however, remains at pretty much the same price point, with negligible reductions observed so far. The reason for these marketing manoeuvres is not yet clear, but there are some speculations floating around already, involving the previously-rumoured hardware upgrade for the Xbox 360 (with a larger hard drive and HDMI port). While this is a good news for all people in Great Britain, this price is still higher than what would you pay in the States. I’ve never felt in love with consoles though, PC is still a more complex platform for me and I don’t have much time for games anyway…"

Five Developers Microsoft Must Buy...Before EA Does

Ensemble Studios. FASA Interactive. Bungie. Rare. LionHead. One thing that console manufacturers are forced to do is acquire independent game developers that will create the first-party titles every console needs at launch and throughout its lifespan.

 

Although a console can’t succeed without third party support, first and second party titles are the games that truly differentiate a console from its competitors.

 

Another reason why console manufacturers are forced to buy game developers is because having an independent developer being acquired by other publisher can result in losing a certain franchise’s developer. What would happen if a publisher buys Bizarre Creations? How are we supposed to get a new RalliSport Challenge game on Xbox 360 now that Electronic Arts has acquired Digital Illusions?

 

That’s why the continuous acquisition of independent developers is crucial to a console success. The following are the five independent developers I believe Microsoft should buy before some other big publisher like EA or Activision acquires them.

Να τρώει κόλλημα το demo ίσως φταίει το demo. Από ότι προσπαθώ να καταλάβω το πρόβλημα το έχει και στο GOW που είναι κανονικό, όχι demo.

 

Εχουν ξανατύχει παρόμοια περιστατικά και συνήθως καταλήγουν στο service.

παιδια εχω ενα προβλημα εχω το xbox 360 και εχω ενα παιχνιδι το test drive unlimited και ειναι αυθεντικο το παιχνιδι για ενα διαστημα ολα μια χαρα μετα ομως οποτε εβαζα το παιχνιδι με ελεγε οτι πρεπει να το βαλω σε μια συσκευη xbox 360 και λεω LoL... Υστερα ακουγα ενα ''bit'' εκανε το μηχανημα και τιποτα αλλο...Στο μενου ομως του xbox 360 ολα μια χαρα ειναι μηπως εχει προβλημα το game??? να το αγορασω μαιμου τι να κανω??? οποιος χερει ας με πει...
