Disconnect usb and power adaptor (all) cables from the device. 2. Turn the device to power off by sliding the bottom switch from ON to OFF position. 3. Press and HOLD the device top power button and then slide the switch from OFF to ON position. Important note: KEEP holding top power button when sliding bottom power switch and release it when enter to bootloader. **************************************************************** B. Dear forum members, Update on 12 Aug 2010: This is the version V2 of the new Super Structured and fast Rom for Mio A702: WWE WM6.5 CE OS 5.2.28205 Build 28205.5.3.3, compressed in LZX algorithm. This version reveals the Mio Recovery folder. The OEM drivers of A702 for 3gp/3gpp have an inheriting bug that presumes the screen layout as fixed for WM 6.0/6.1. In WM 6.5 the layout is changed and 3pp/3gpp leave the screen in WM 6.0/6.1 layout. Instead of changing the drivers, i.e. with A701, a work around before leaving from WMPlayer after a 3gp/3gpp session is to play a proper WMPlayer file as *.wmv or *.aac or *.asf etc. For download see section B. Hi, I did not get any of P360/P560 devices yet, but from software point of view they are close to A701. So for those they have the device and they like to, in order to enter to bootloader menu i propose the following: 1. Disconnect usb and power adaptor (all) cables from the device. 2. Turn the device to power off by sliding the bottom switch from ON to OFF position. 3. Press and HOLD the device top power button and then slide the switch from OFF to ON position. If this is the case then you can exit from the menu by sliding the power switch from ON to OFF position. The successfull enter to bootloader menu will make rom upgrade possible. Regards, ansar.

Use the same backup application you used to save your data in order to recover them after flashing. Remove any SDConfig.txt file from your Storage Card , copy SDConfig28205.txt or SDConfig28205UT.txt in storage card and rename it to SDConfig.txt. SDConfig28205.txt includes only the reset instruction. SDConfig28205UT.txt is preparing the device in order to be YouTube ready. Flash the Mio_A501_WWE_WM6.5.28205.LZX.MobileVista6.50SeaDragon_PP6_by_ansar.bin image file as follows: 1. Make sure that Mio A501 can be connected and synchronized with your PC / Laptop. 2. Turn on the device while holding the volume up button. In case the device was on, hold volume up button and press the Reset button. In both cases you enter to USB update mode. 3. If you do not have already installed the USB drivers, it is time to do so. USB drivers are in the download folder with this name. 4. After USB driver installation run ChiSync33.exe. 5. Tap on Image tab to browse for the downloaded file: Mio_A501_WWE_WM6.5.28205.LZX.MobileVista6.50SeaDragon_PP6_by_ansar.bin 6. By pressing Info tab you can see this file info. 7. Tap on Update to start rom image flashing. 8. You can disconnect only when the message of checksum is displayed and ChiSync33.exe is showing the stop sign. 9. Wait for the flash process to finish and your device to boot. a. This boot is the phase-one boot and after splash screen it goes to a black screen. You are waiting for phase-one boot to finish til you hear the characteristic gong sound. b. Now you can enter to final boot phase by pressing the Reset button. Important Notes: 1. This two phase boot sequence must be carried out after any future hard reset. 2. When YouTube is installed by VistalibWWE28005MVSD6_50\CabToWindows\YouTube.cab then: VistalibWWE28005MVSD6_50\CabToWindows\StreamingMedia.cab must also be installed in order to download YouTube video. 3. In simple windows mode, Contacts and Total Commander are assigned in the known inside touch keys. 4.
