  1. Jason Chen: They also have accessories for this. First, a dock. Jason Chen: There’s another dock for the iPad: a keyboard dock. There’s a “full size mechanical keyboard”, and it slides in in portrait mode. Λογικό, πως να δουλέψεις το iWork χωρίς αυτό;
  2. Οι τιμές για wifi σίγουρα χωρίς συμβόλαιο, αντίστοιχα με iPod touch. Αν είδα καλά όμως και το 3G είναι unlocked, άρα θα υπάρχει ενδεχομένως και επιδότηση από AT&T και η τιμή θα είναι πιο κάτω;
  3. Jason Chen: “We will be shipping iPads in 60 days, worldwide availability of Wi-Fi models.” It’ll be another 30 days beyond that for 3G models.
  4. Jason Chen: He says “pundits” said it would be under $1000, which is $999. Jason Chen: “I am thrilled to announce to you that the iPad pricing starts, not at $999, but at $499.”
  5. Jason Chen: Steve is going through the features now, like music, email, and video. It runs “almost all” the apps on the app store. http://cache.gizmodo.com/assets/appletablet/appletabletb533.jpg Πρέπει να υπάρχει.. one more thing!
  6. Jason Chen: So this is the US, but what about internationally? They hope to have international deals in place by June. “We’re going to start on that tomorrow.” But, all iPad 3G models are unlocked, and they use GSM micro SIMs, so if your carrier offers micro SIMs, “they’ll just work.” Αυτό το june δεν μου άρεσε! Θα πάρει φωτιά το eBay :)
  7. Jason Chen: It’s with AT&T (confirmed).
  8. Jason Chen: “A few other things…I’d like to talk about iTunes.” It syncs like an iPhone with your Mac or PC over the 30-pin cable. You sync everything: photos, music, movies, TV shows, contacts, calendars, bookmarks and applications, like the iPhone. Even backups. http://cache.gizmodo.com/assets/appletablet/appletabletb512.jpg Jason Chen: And now, wireless networking. It has Wi-Fi, but there are models with 3G. http://cache.gizmodo.com/assets/appletablet/appletabletb514.jpg http://cache.gizmodo.com/assets/appletablet/appletabletb515.jpg http://cache.gizmodo.com/assets/appletablet/appletabletb519.jpg Jason Chen: What does it cost for the data plans? In the US, companies charge $60 for a data plan for laptops. But, “we’ve got a real breakthrough here. We’ve got two awesome plans for iPad owners.” The first is 250MB data a month for $15. Jason Chen: And if you want unlimited data for $30 a month.
  9. Jason Chen: Steve Jobs is back on stage. “Isn’t it great?” http://cache.gizmodo.com/assets/appletablet/appletabletb510.jpg
  10. Jason Chen: What is Apple going to charge for each of the iWork apps? $9.99 each, so $30 if you want all.
  11. Jason Chen: Also, I’m not seeing a front-camera on this thing for a webcam on the virtual iPad on screen. But that could be just hidden.
  13. Jason Chen: He now brings up Numbers. I hope he’s not planning on making us sit through a session of him doing his taxes. http://cache.gizmodo.com/assets/appletablet/appletabletb492.jpg
  14. Jason Chen: “It is the most beautiful word processor you’ve ever used.” – Phil Schiller http://cache.gizmodo.com/assets/appletablet/appletabletb480.jpg
  15. μια και ανάλαβε ο soom το engadget θα βάζω από gizmodo ;)
  16. 11:06AM New tool: Page Navigator. It's a bit like the magnification loop and lets you jump through pages. Automatic image outlines -- just drag your image and text reformats. http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2010/01/apple-creation-0343-rm-eng.jpg
  17. 11:05AM Automatic transition animations. Very nice. "So that's a preview. Now let's go to Pages." http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2010/01/apple-creation-0339-rm-eng.jpg Μάλλον θα συνδέεται και με κανονικό πληκτρολόγιο τότε, δεν φαντάζομαι να περιμένουν να γράψει κάποιος περισσότερες από μία σελίδες με το εικονικό!..
  18. Jason Chen: I suppose the iPad would be a pretty good presentation device, letting you see the screens on your device and controlling it while it’s being projected onto a wall through the 30-pin dock connector. (Video out is still unconfirmed, this is just my guess.) http://cache.gizmodo.com/assets/appletablet/appletabletb468.jpg
  19. 11:02AM They've really redone this interface. We don't know about you, but using iWork wasn't one of our fantasies when we thought about what an Apple tablet would be like. This is nice... but it's iWork. http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2010/01/apple-creation-0336-rm-eng.jpg
  20. Jason Chen: Phil’s showing off how you can drag and drop slides around. You can also pick up multiple slides by holding one slide and tapping others, to put it into the pile. Jason Chen: You can also resize and move elements around on a slide by just tapping and dragging, just as you’d imagine it would work. http://cache.gizmodo.com/assets/appletablet/appletabletb467.jpg
  21. He’s showing off making new presentations by tapping a new presentation, and it brings up a new layout format with slide navigator on the left and the current slide on the right. http://cache.gizmodo.com/assets/appletablet/appletabletb457.jpg ελπίζω μόνο να μην χρειαστεί να το αγοράσουμε δύο φορές, μία στον υπολογιστή και μία στο tablet

  23. 10:58AM "Now, something very exciting... iWork. A little over a year ago I asked the head of our team about creating iWork for the iPad. The reaction was... 'ahhh they require a lot of horsepower'" 10:59AM "Could the tablet handle that? You betcha. But they required a new UI -- here's Phil Schiller to tell you about it." http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2010/01/apple-creation-0327-rm-eng.jpg
  24. Jason Chen: But, how about iWork? There’s iWork for the iPad. Το περίμενα αυτό! http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2010/01/apple-creation-0322-rm-eng.jpg
  25. 10:57AM "You can change the font... whatever you want. And that is iBooks." http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2010/01/apple-creation-0321-rm-eng.jpg Jason Chen: Apple uses the ePub format, which means it’s open, and which might mean you can import your own ePub books (maybe?).
