Changing Your Password or Security Questions
If you would like change your password, log in to your PayPal account, click Profile near the top of the page, and then click My personal info or My business info. Click Change near Password. . After you choose what information you’d like to change, click Edit. Enter your new password or security questions and click Save. Before you can change your password or security questions, you may need to confirm you are the owner of the account.

Recovering Your Password by Email
Go to the PayPal website and click Problem with login under Account login. Click I don’t know my password. Enter the email address you used to create your PayPal account, enter the security code, and then click Continue.
Next we’ll you ask you to verify some account information and then you can create your new password; OR we’ll send you an email with a link in it. Click the link, verify you own the account, and then create a new password.
If clicking the link in the email takes you to the PayPal account login page, you may have to enable cookies in your web browser. If you don’t know how to do this, consult your browser’s help menu.

Recovering your Password by Phone
You will have to recover your password by phone if you no longer have access to the email address that is on your Paypal account or are unable to receive the password recovery email.
To recover your password by phone follow the same steps to recover your password by email, and then click by phone on the PayPal webpage saying we sent you an email. Choose a phone number for us to call you at, pick a time, and then click Continue.
On the next webpage, you’ll see a 4-digit code. When we call you, enter the code on your phone’s keypad. Then hang up your phone, and click Continue. Verify your account, click Continue again, enter your new password, and then click Submit. You'll automatically be logged in to your account.

Recovering Your Password When Your Account is Locked
If you’ve entered your password incorrectly many times, you need to call us to reset it.
Call 1-888-221-1161 and we’ll give you a 5-digit code, and then send you an email. Click the link in the email, enter the 5-digit code we gave you, and then create a new password and select 2 security questions.
